Application Process

STEP 1
Complete the Application Form.

STEP 2
Return the application form, together with official transcripts for the last three academic years. (Attached notarized English documents, if your transcripts are in your native language.) The application fee, a copy of both passport and study permit are also required to be submitted along with these documents.

STEP 3
Great Lyn International Academy will assess your application and notify you of the results. If you are successfully accepted, you will receive our Official Welcome Letter. At this point, you are required to pay the tuition fee and other applicable fees. All fees can be paid by International Money Order (IMO) or Bank Draft and should be made payable to Great Lyn International Academy.

STEP 4
After receiving your payments, Great Lyn International Academy will send you the Official Acceptance Letter and Official Fee Receipt. With these supportive documents, you should apply for your Study Permit at Canadian Embassy.

STEP 5
A representative from Great Lyn International Academy will come to the airport to pick you up and transport you to your homestay family or your Canadian Guardian’s family.

If you require airport pick-up service, please provide Great Lyn International Academy with detailed information regarding your arrival in Toronto. (Name of the airline, flight number, exact dates, and arrival time).

 

Great Lyn International Academy will inform you of your homestay details if you have applied for homestay. (Host family’s address and telephone number).

School Policies

Attendance Policy

Students are expected to attend all classes regularly. Regular attendance is crucial for academic success and personal growth.

Absences due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, and religious observances are considered excused. A note from a parent/guardian or a medical professional is required.

Absences without a valid reason or proper documentation will be considered unexcused. Consequences may include detention, parent-teacher meetings, or other disciplinary actions.

Academic Integrity

Students must submit original work and give proper credit when using other sources. Cheating, plagiarism, and any form of academic dishonesty are prohibited.

Academic dishonesty may result in a failing grade, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense.

Code of Conduct

Students, staff, and visitors must treat each other with respect and courtesy at all times.

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and any form of violence are strictly prohibited. Incidents must be reported immediately.

Students are expected to dress appropriately for a learning environment. Clothing must be respectful and not disruptive to the educational process.

Health and Safety

Students must comply with health guidelines, including immunizations and health check-ups. Any health concerns should be reported to the school nurse.

The school has established procedures for emergencies, including fire drills, lockdowns, and evacuations. Students must follow instructions during these drills and emergencies.

Student Policy

Students should demonstrate honesty and integrity, respect and treat others fairly, regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, gender, gender identity, family or marital status, sexual orientation, creed (faith), socio-economic status, same sex partnership status, age, or disability. 


Every member of the Great Lyn community has a responsibility to refrain from using inappropriate, profane, or derogatory language. Threats, acts of intimidation, or carelessness that could result in physical harm are not permitted. Please keep quiet in the classroom, hallway and elevators.  


Students must treat all personal and school property with respect. In any case where students are involved in causing damage to personal or school property, students will take full responsibility for their actions. 


Absences interrupts the learning process and may negatively affect student achievement. Students who are late for a class within an hour will be recorded as late. Students who are more than an hour late for a class will be recorded as absent. Two ‘late’ will be considered as an ‘absent’. A warning letter will be issued when students absent for 10 times. The course will be withdrawn automatically when students absent for 15 times. 


Students are not allowed to smoke cigarette or electronic cigarette indoor, including classroom, hallway and washroom. Fines will be issued to the violators. 

Students should take out garbage from the classroom, Art students are not allowed to wash paint brushes or any painting materials in the public washroom
